labels everywhere 2
Living in an old, low-cost rental apartment (in Japan) that seems to have been renovated to some extent, you can find labels everywhere — on the toilet bowl, the mirror, inside the cabinet under the wash basin, on the light cover, the bathtub, even on the door frame.
They say things like “Caution,” the call center number, cleaning instructions, and sometimes even the list of ingredients.
Being surrounded by all these labels and sitting on the fake-wood floor sometimes makes me feel as if I’m in a sample room or something.
If so, the “I” living in it could be just another sample, playing the role of “me.”
